Whip up a batch of these delicious chocolate bliss balls in minutes! Rich, fudgy and so chocolatey – these easy no bake energy balls taste like dessert but are packed with wholesome ingredients to keep you going.

Instructions

  1. Process: Place the rolled oats in the food processor and process until it forms a flour. Add the remaining ingredients and process until everything is combined and forms a ball (keep running food processor until a sticky, fudgy mixture forms).
  2. Form balls: Roll the mixture into small balls (about a heaping tablespoon per ball). Optional: If you wish, you can roll each ball in some extra cocoa powder.
  3. Chill and enjoy: I recommend refrigerating them for about 10-15 minutes first to firm up slightly.

Notes

  • Use fresh Medjool dates! You want the Medjool dates to be soft and chewy since they act as a binder to keep the bliss balls together and give them a “fudgy” texture. You can usually find Medjool dates in the produce section of your grocery store. If your dates are a little older and drier, soak them in hot water first for 10 minutes.
  • Food Processor:  You will need a food processor to process the ingredients together into the perfect texture. A blender doesn’t really work for this – just results in a sticky mess! My favorite food processor is the Breville Sous Chef. I’ve had it for ages and absolutely love it compared to others I have tried throughout my life.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
