Description

This creamy, flavorful herb-packed sauce adds a fresh pop of flavor to any dish. Delicious served with roasted/grilled meats or fish, potatoes or served as a dip with veggies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup full fat plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped chives
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped dill
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped French shallot (approx. 1 small shallot or 1/2 larger shallot)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon hot mustard (i.e. Dijon or hot German mustard)
  • 1 teaspoon organic cane sugar
  • Salt & cayenne, to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix: Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Refrigerate: Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • I like to chill the sauce for a couple hours to develop the flavours more but it is completely optional.
  • Delicious served with: roast beef (like my Herb Mustard Crusted Roast Beef), roasted or grilled meats and fish (yummy with salmon), potatoes (especially boiled baby potatoes) or as a dip with veggies.
