This Creamy Herb Sauce is so delicious, flavorful and fresh tasting thanks to all the herbs. It is a fantastic way to add a creamy, fresh pop of flavor to your meal at any time of year since it is delicious on everything from holiday roasts to summer grilled items. However, it is extra special when your herb garden is flourishing since there is nothing like fresh herbs! I highly recommend growing a herb garden since herbs provide so much fresh flavor and are easy to grow (only thing that I can successfully grow!).

How To Make This Creamy Herb Sauce Recipe

To make this Creamy Herb Sauce / Dip, you simply need to…

  1. Mix Together Ingredients: Mix together all the ingredients in a bowl. You will need: sour cream, plain yogurt, finely chopped parsley + chives + dill + shallot, lemon juice, horseradish, olive oil, hot mustard (Dijon or German) and a little sugar, salt and cayenne to taste.
  2. Refrigerate: Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. I like to chill mine for a couple hours to develop the flavours more but it is completely optional.

Ways To Use This Creamy Herb Sauce

Add a creamy, fresh pop of flavor to your dishes! My favorite ways to use this Creamy Herb Sauce are:

  • Roast Beef: Excellent served with roast beef! Try it with my Herb Mustard Crusted Roast Beef.
  • Roasted or Grilled Meats: Besides roast beef, this sauce is also delicious served with a variety of roasted or grilled meats like chicken and pork. Great with this easy cast iron pork tenderloin and also delicious with these German Frikadellen.
  • Fish: So yummy served with grilled or pan-fried fish. I especially love it with salmon!
  • Potatoes: I love drizzling this sauce over boiled baby potatoes! It would also be great with other types of potatoes as well.
  • Dip: It also makes an excellent dip to serve with veggies!
