How To Make This Monster Veggie Tray

Are you ready to transform veggies and dip into a spooky and cute Halloween Veggie Tray? First, let’s walk through this super easy Monster Veggie Tray and then dive into some more fun ideas!

This is a fun way of displaying veggies and dip. You don’t need to be super crafty – anyone can do this! Simply…

STEP 1: Gather glassware. Grab a variety of glassware in different shapes and sizes. Whatever you have around – different types of drinking glasses, small wide mouth mason jars, small clean vases, etc. Arrange them on a board, tray or directly on the table or counter where you will be serving them.

STEP 2: Attach eyes. Turn the glassware into “monsters” by attaching some craft googly eyes. Using a variety of different sizes is fun! I like to apply them with small pieces of double sided tape to make it easy to remove the eyes later.

STEP 3: Fill them up! Fill up the glassware with a variety of cut up veggies and dip. Super cute and SO SIMPLE!

Make it small and simple for a kid friendly snack or side dish or make it large and elaborate for a Halloween party. It’s easy to scale up or down depending on your needs!

A Few Tips

  • Using clear glassware lets you see the colors of the veggies.
  • Don’t pick glassware that is too tall or it will be difficult to grab the veggies out of. You want this to be easy to grab finger food!
  • You can cut vegetables like carrots, celery and peppers into longer sticks to make it look like spiky “hair” coming out of the top of the “monster” glass.

Prep Ahead

You can prep a number of things ahead of time to make things quick and easy once it is time to serve. Attach the googly eyes to the glassware, prep and store cut up veggies in the fridge and purchase or make the dip(s). Then when it’s go time, all you need to do is fill up the glassware with the prepped veggies and dip.

Ways To Serve It

Serve it as a fun party appetizer, healthy Halloween snack, or easy side dish alongside one of these Halloween dinner ideas.
