3 Reasons I Love These Peach Popsicles

  1. They taste like peaches and cream! I mean… what’s not to love about that combo? These popsicles are creamy, packed with sweet peach flavor and taste like peak summer in every bite. These were actually inspired by my peaches and cream blender ice cream recipe and turning those flavors into popsicles turned out to be such a good idea.
  2. They’re made for peach season! When peaches are at their peak, this is one of my favorite easy peach recipes to make. Sweet, juicy peaches make these popsicles extra delicious and so refreshing on a hot summer day. No fresh peaches? No problem! Frozen peaches work too so you can enjoy these any time of year.
  3. They’re ridiculously easy to make! This is one of those recipes that’s almost too easy. Just throw 4 simple ingredients into a blender, pour into popsicle molds and let the freezer do the rest. About 5 minutes of prep is all it takes!

Ingredient Notes

You only need 4 simple ingredients to make these homemade peaches and cream popsicles:

Detailed ingredient list and directions located in the recipe card below.

  • Peaches: Ripe, juicy peaches will give you the sweetest, best flavor. If you’re using a powerful blender, there’s no need to peel them – just wash them, remove the pit, slice and toss them right in. If fresh peaches aren’t available, frozen works too. Just let them thaw first so they blend up easily and smooth.
  • Heavy Cream: This is what gives the popsicles their rich, creamy texture (and that softer, easier-to-bite texture too!). Want a dairy free option? Coconut cream is a great substitute.
  • Honey: Adds sweetness and also reduces ice crystals from forming in the popsicles. Maple syrup or organic cane sugar work well too.
  • Vanilla Extract: The perfect finishing touch to make these popsicles taste even more delicious!

Tools You’ll Need

All you need is a blender, a popsicle mold and a freezer of course!

  • Blender: You’ll need a blender to blend everything together until smooth and creamy. I use a Vitamix which is high powered (so I don’t need to peel the peaches first!). If you’re using frozen peaches, make sure they’ve thawed first so they blend up nice and smooth.
  • Popsicle Molds: A good popsicle mold is definitely worth having. There’s nothing worse than a popsicle that’s impossible to remove. If you’re looking for one, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite popsicle molds to check out.

My Favorite

This Popsicle Mold Is Amazing

I’ve had this stainless steel popsicle mold for many years and I absolutely love it! It’s super durable, makes those beautiful classic-style popsicles you see in all my popsicle recipes and the popsicles slide right out after just a few seconds under warm water. I also love that each popsicle has its own individual mold instead of being connected in one big tray.

How To Make Creamy Peach Popsicles

These peach popsicles couldn’t be easier to make! Just blend everything together, pour the mixture into your popsicle molds and let the freezer do the rest.

  1. Add everything to the blender: Add 3 cups sliced ripe peaches (fresh or thawed first if using frozen), ½ cup heavy cream (or coconut cream), ¼ cup honey (or maple syrup or organic cane sugar) and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract to a blender.
  2. Blend: Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour into popsicle molds: Pour the mixture into your popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top. This recipe make 6 large popsicles in my favorite mold but the yield will vary depending on the size of your molds.
  4. Freeze: Freeze for 4-6 hours or until completely firm. I usually let them freeze overnight so there’s no guess work and then enjoy the next day.

Helpful Tips

A Few Tips

  • Leave a little room at the top: Don’t fill your popsicle molds all the way to the top. Leave about ¼ inch of space so the mixture has room to expand as it freezes (and to help avoid messy overflow!).
  • For easy removal: Run the outside of the popsicle mold under warm water for a few seconds and the popsicles should slide right out of a good mold.
  • Don’t let any go to waste: If you have a little mixture left over, don’t pour it down the drain… it tastes way too good! I love pouring it over ice and topping it with sparkling water for a delicious peaches and cream soda.

FAQ

Can I reduce the honey?

Keep in mind that the honey does more than just sweeten the popsicles. It also help keep them softer and less icy by reducing ice crystals. So if you cut back on the honey, they’ll freeze harder.

Do I need to peel the peaches?

That’s totally up to you and how powerful your blender is. I don’t peel mine. I just give them a good wash, remove the pit, slice them up and let my Vitamix blend them up into a smooth mixture.

Can I use frozen peaches?

Absolutely! Just let them thaw first so they blend up easily into a smooth, pourable mixture.

How long do they take to freeze?

Plan on at least 4 to 6 hours but I usually just let them freeze overnight. The exact time will depend on your freezer and the size of your popsicle molds.

How long do they keep?

These homemade popsicles keep well in the freezer for 1 to 2 months, although they’re at their best during the first few weeks. You can store them right in the popsicle mold or remove them and wrap each one tightly in plastic wrap before storing in a freezer bag or freezer safe container. Just work quickly so they don’t start melting while you’re wrapping them!
