Grab some sweet blueberries and Greek yogurt because you’re going to want to turn them into these creamy blueberry popsicles. These two simple ingredients do most of the work, with a few little extras to make them extra creamy, extra delicious and basically the perfect thing to have waiting for you in the freezer on a hot summer day.

3 Reasons I Love These Blueberry Yogurt Popsicles
- Made with real fruit and real ingredients! Fresh blueberries and creamy Greek yogurt are the stars of the show, while natural sweetener and a few simple extras round everything out for popsicles that are full of real, delicious flavor.
- The perfect summer treat! Creamy, refreshing and packed with sweet blueberry flavor, these popsicles are exactly what I want on a hot day. I love having a batch stashed in the freezer… and yes, I’ve absolutely also eaten them for breakfast. It’s blueberries and yogurt, so it counts, right?
- They’re super easy to make! A few minutes of prep is all it takes. After that, it’s just a matter of letting the freezer work its magic. (Waiting for them to freeze is definitely the hardest part!).

Ingredient Notes
Here’s what you’ll need to make these creamy blueberry greek yogurt popsicles:

Detailed ingredient list and directions located in the recipe card below.
- Fresh Blueberries: Fresh is my first choice here because they give the popsicles such a great texture and plenty of fresh blueberry flavor. Frozen blueberries work too – just thaw them first so they blend up nice and smooth.
- Greek Yogurt: Go with full-fat Greek yogurt for the creamiest texture. It also helps keep the popsicles nice and creamy once frozen, rather than turning icy.
- Honey (or Maple Syrup): Adds sweetness and also reduces ice crystals from forming
- Cream: A little cream is added when blending up the blueberries to make the mixture smooth and creamy and to give these popsicles an irresistible creamy texture. Use whatever you have on hand – heavy cream, half-and-half or table cream all work great.
- Lemon Zest: Totally optional but highly recommended! That little bit of lemony brightness works so well with the blueberries and really makes their flavor pop.
Tools You’ll Need
You don’t need much for these popsicles – just a blender, a popsicle mold and a little room in the freezer.
- Blender: You’ll need a blender to blitz together the blueberries until smooth.
- Popsicle Molds: A good popsicle mold makes all the difference. You know that moment when you’ve made beautiful popsicles and then can’t actually get them out of that cheap plastic mold? Been there! Not going back! If you’re in the market for a good one, I’ve rounded up a few great popsicle molds to check out (including my absolute favorite!).
Recommendation
My Favorite Popsicle Mold
I really, really love this stainless steel popsicle mold. I’ve had mine for years and use it all the time (definitely one of those kitchen purchases that has been worth every penny).
It makes those classic popsicle shapes you see in all my popsicle recipes and the popsicles slide right out after just a few seconds under warm water. No wrestling with the mold or waiting forever for it to release! I also love that each popsicle has its own individual mold instead of being stuck together in one big tray. Makes a huge difference!
How To Make Blueberry Yogurt Popsicles
These homemade yogurt popsicles with blueberries are super quick and easy to prep. Let’s make some!

- Blend the blueberry mixture: Add 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries, ¼ cup honey or maple syrup. ¼ cup cream and ½ teaspoon lemon zest to a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Add the yogurt: Add 1 cup full-fat Greek yogurt and give it a very quick blend on low, just until everything is combined (making sure not to over-blend!). You can also simply stir it through by hand.
- Fill the popsicle molds: Pour the blueberry yogurt mixture into your popsicle molds, leaving a little room at the top. This recipe makes 6 large popsicles in my favorite mold but the yield may vary depending on the size of your molds.
- Freeze and enjoy: Freeze for 4-6 hours or until the popsicles are completely firm. I usually just pop them in the freezer overnight so they’re ready to go the next day. When you’re ready to enjoy, run the mold under warm water for a few seconds and it should slide right out. That’s it!

Helpful Tip
Don’t Make This Mistake
Learn from my recipe testing mistake here! My first attempt was to throw everything into the blender at once and blend on high (which usually works great for most popsicle mixtures). But blueberries + Greek yogurt did not love that plan. I ended up with a gloopy, slightly separated, gelatinous mixture that was… not exactly what I was going for. 😂
However, blending at a lower speed wasn’t giving me the smooth texture I was after. The fix was super simple: blend the blueberries, cream, honey and lemon zest first until smooth. Then add the Greek yogurt and give it just a quick mix on low or simply stir it though by hand. Much better! You end up with a smooth, creamy blueberry yogurt mixture that’s ready to pour into your molds.
FAQ
You can but make sure to thaw them first so they blend up easily.
I recommend sticking with full-fat Greek yogurt for these. The fat content gives the popsicles that nice creamy texture and helps keep them from turning dense and icy.
Plan on at least 4 to 6 hours, preferably overnight! The exact timing will depend on your freezer and the size of your popsicle molds.
These popsicles will keep in the freezer for 1 to 2 months but I think they’re best within the first few weeks. You can leave them stored right in the mold or unmold them and wrap each popsicle tightly in plastic wrap before transferring them to a freezer bag or freezer-safe container. Just work quickly so they don’t melt!
