A Father’s Day Gift Guide to provide some ideas and inspiration on what to get Dad. Also a great resource for general gift ideas for men like an upcoming birthday.
Is it just me or do you also find it difficult to come up with gift ideas for men? With Father’s Day coming up, I have put together a helpful gift guide including a section of experience gift ideas. If you happen to live in a country like Australia that will not be celebrating Father’s Day for a few more months, this guide also provides some great inspiration for male birthday gifts.
For The Grill Master Dad
If he loves grilling, then consider getting him a meat box filled with quality meats. ButcherBox delivers thoughtfully sourced, humanely raised, antibiotic-free and hormone-free meat directly to your door. ButcherBox is currently only available in the US. However, if you live in certain Canadian provinces, there is also truLOCAL which also delivers quality, locally-sourced meat to your door.
You could also pair the meat with a great BBQ sauce like this Honey Bunny Amazing Dad’s Original BBQ sauce. Or get him a selection of fun BBQ sauces and rubs!
For The Coffee Loving Dad
If he loves a good cup of coffee, perhaps get him the AeroPress (my husband uses this daily) or the beautiful Chemex pour over coffee maker. Pair this with a bag of quality beans from a local coffee roaster!
For The Active Dad
If he is the active type, then he might love a great pair of exercise shorts (to replace the ratty looking ones he might be wearing) 😉. These shorts also have a no bounce phone pocket. Or perhaps he loves the water and could use a new pair of board shorts.
Maybe he could use some new gear like this strong B Mat or a new water bottle like this S’well Green Camo Water Bottle.
For The Well-Groomed Dad
If he likes grooming products, then he might love this Herbivore Beard Tonic Sampler set or this Rocky Mountain Soap Co. Men’s Stuff Gift Set.
For The Travelling Dad
Some new travel gear might come in handy whether he travels for work or for fun. This hanging toiletry bag is both stylish and practical. It is also handy to have a bag that can carry your electronics like this stylish leather laptop bag or this rolling laptop bag.
For The Bookworm Dad
When all else fails, get him a good book! Here are a few possible ideas: 1) National Geographic World’s Best Travel Experiences 2) Everything Is F*cked: A Book About Hope by Mark Manson 3) A Man, A Pan, A Plan by Paul Kita, 4) Dad Jokes: The Good, The Bad, And The Just Plain Stupid by Joshua Shifrin.

Experience Gift Ideas
I love “experience” type gifts since they have the added bonus of making memories. Many of these are great ideas if you live close by and can spend some time together.
- Tickets to an event that he will love (concert, sporting event, etc)
- Check out a local craft brewery or distillery with him
- Passes for an activity that he loves (round of golf, fitness classes, arcade, escape room, laser tag, etc)
- If you live near the water, rent a jet-ski or boat for a couple of hours. Or rent some kayaks or SUPs for a more peaceful outing
- Go for a hike or bike ride
- Take him out to a restaurant that he will love or lounge on a great patio with some food and drinks
