Easter Bunny Charcuterie Board
How sweet and subtle are the bunnies added to this charcuterie board?! Simply choose your favorite round cheeses and attach some ears cut out of firm white cheese with some tooth picks.
What You’ll Need
- Board or Platter: Any shape and size will work. You can make a small board featuring one cheese bunny or a larger board featuring multiples.
- Round Cheese: Any round shaped cheeses you like for the bunny heads Some examples include: brie, camembert, provolone, etc. In the board shown above, I included 3: brie, smoked gruyere and provolone.
- Firm White Cheese: Thicker slices of any firm white cheese you like (e.g. white cheddar, provolone, mozzarella, etc.). These will be cut into bunny ears.
- Toothpicks: To attach the bunny ears to the head. I like to use these ornate toothpicks since they are a little stronger.
- Other Charcuterie Board Ingredients: Fill in the rest of the board with your favorite charcuterie board goodies (meats, fruit, vegetables, nuts, crackers, more cheeses, etc.) For my board, I focused on spring inspired colors and ingredients. I included: radishes, carrots, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, dip, prosciutto, salami, crackers, chocolate mini eggs, dried apricots, pistachios, grapes, raspberries, strawberries, cornichons, wine jelly and a few additional cheeses.
How To Assemble Cheese Bunnies
The cheese bunnies are super easy to make and add a bit of subtle Easter fun to your charcuterie board. Perfect for elegant, grown-up style charcuterie boards.
- Cut out the ears: Using the tip of a sharp paring knife, cut out bunny ears from thick slices of firm white cheese. The slices need to be thick enough to insert a toothpick – at least a 1/4 inch thick. You can cut the ear shapes freehand or make a template from parchment paper to use as a guide.
- Attach ears to head: Insert 2 toothpicks near the top of the round cheese where you would like to position the ears. Push them all the way down. If you are using the same ornate toothpicks that I use, insert the flat end into the round cheese with the pointed end sticking up. Then attach the ears by gently pushing them down onto the exposed pointed ends of the toothpicks.
- Ready to add to charcuterie board: You can now add your cheese bunny to your charcuterie board (or make a few). I think these are beautiful and simple as is but you could also add a face if you like.
Assembling The Board
Let’s put this Easter Bunny Charcuterie Board together now. It’s super easy!
- Place your cheese bunny or bunnies on your board or platter.
- Fill in the areas around them with all your favorite charcuterie board goodies (meats, additional cheeses, nuts, crackers, fruits, veggies, etc.)

FAQ
Fill your Easter charcuterie board with anything you enjoy: cheese, meats, fruit, veggies, nuts, crackers, chocolates and Easter treats. To put an Easter spin on the board, stick to spring colors like soft pastels or bright Easter colors. You can also incorporate some Easter themed shapes like bunnies, chicks and eggs by either arranging the whole board into one of these shapes or incorporating them within the board. An easy way to add some fun Easter shapes is to simply use some Easter cookie cutters to cut out some of the fruit or cheese.
If your charcuterie board includes perishable items like meats, cheese and fruits, it is best to prepare the board no more than 24 hours ahead of time. Cover with plastic wrap and store in the fridge until ready to enjoy. But what if you don’t have all that fridge space? Another option is to prepare all the components ahead of time, store in separate containers in the fridge and then quickly assemble the board before your guests arrive.
